Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 22, 2025

Nanavia LLC (“Nanavia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) explains in this Privacy Policy how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, mobile/web services, and motion sensor devices (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Who This Policy Applies To

The Service may involve multiple roles. For clarity:

  • Account Owner: the person who creates the account and manages billing and access.
  • Monitored User: the person whose activity patterns are monitored (e.g., a family member).
  • Notified User: a person invited by the Account Owner to receive alerts and view data.

The Account Owner controls invitations and access for Notified Users. Notified Users may be able to view the same activity and trend data available within the account.

In some cases, a Monitored User may not directly interact with the Service or accept these policies. Information about a Monitored User may be provided by an Account Owner. The Account Owner is responsible for obtaining any required consent and for providing appropriate notice to the Monitored User, as required by applicable law.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: name, email, phone number, shipping address, and account credentials for Account Owners, and contact details for Monitored Users and Notified Users when provided by the Account Owner.
  • Sensor & Activity Data: motion event logs, activity periods, and device status (e.g., online/offline, connectivity “check-ins”), plus alert events and responses (e.g., “AWAY,” “REMIND,” “STOP”) associated with an account.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, and similar log data.
  • Cookies & Analytics: cookies or similar technologies for security, site functionality, and analytics. We may use analytics providers (for example, Google Analytics, Matomo, or similar tools).

The Service requires a working Wi-Fi internet connection to transmit activity data and send alerts. If Wi-Fi connectivity is unavailable or interrupted, data transmission and alerts may be delayed or may not occur.

We do not collect audio or video recordings.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service, including activity reports and anomaly-based alerts.
  • Operate accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud/abuse.
  • Process payments (for paid plans) through payment processors (e.g., Stripe).
  • Send notifications via communications providers (e.g., Twilio or similar providers).
  • Maintain, debug, and improve the Service and our motion analysis and alerting models.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information in these situations:

  • Service Providers: vendors that help us operate the Service (payments, messaging, hosting, analytics).
  • Within an Account: information may be visible to Account Owners, Monitored Users (if they have access), and Notified Users invited by the Account Owner.
  • Legal & Safety: if required by law, legal process, or in good faith to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business Transfers: merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (with notice where required by law).

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and improving the Service).

You may request deletion as described below. We may retain certain information where required or permitted by law. We may also retain de-identified and aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

6. Account Deletion

If an Account Owner deletes their account, we will delete personal information associated with that account, including information for Monitored Users and Notified Users stored under that account, subject to legal requirements. We may retain de-identified and aggregated data for analytics and product improvement.

7. Your Rights (Connecticut)

If you are a Connecticut resident, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) may provide rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To submit a request, contact support@nanavia.com.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): where applicable, we honor GPC signals as an opt-out of certain tracking.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children, and accounts are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the effective date of the current version.
